I actually traded a lot in this game and learnt many mechanics of becoming rich and a crucial one is to buy cheap from "newbs" and sell it much much higher. Don't underestimate that factor many traders try to keep secret.

Yeah, but a significant difference here, which I'm sure ANet is positively THRILLED about, is that people are farming in GROUPS now. There are groups forming to just go out and kill stuff. It is something that PvE hasn't had in a WHILE.
It's great to see.

Lazy ass newbs? I didnt realize not wanting to farm an area over and over qualifies as being a "lazy ass newb" And people didnt buy this game to play as a merchant "buying low selling high" If you want to do that crap, that's your business but at least now we're not forced to do that stuff.
I find it damn funny that these kids with tons of time to waste on repetitively farming can go around calling others lazy ass newbs.

Lazy, as in you want everything handed to you.
Ass, as in you are being one.
Newb, as in many people in favor of the patch sound like beginners.

The last resort of people who know they're losing an argument is to start hurling insults. If you have nothing to add to the discussion you're just throwing a temper tantrum.

I've been into Guild Wars since last October and I have all the gear, money, and unlocks I will ever need. I love this patch for many reasons, the most important being that it is very much in the original spirt of the game.
Though the fact that it gave all the moneygrubbing powersellers the middle finger doesn't hurt.

He collects it every single Day
But hes Just about to find out that He's completely wrong.

Say no way, say no way ya, no way
Now now Why don't you get a life
I guess all his money, well it isn't enough
To keep Himself happy each day.
I guess all his money, well it isn't enough
Cause that Guys got to much time!
You got OWNED, You got OWNED, yeh! o yeh!

It's always been that way. Hell my new pve characters always start with a 33 max bonus hammer. And most people send a weapon or an item that's useful across their characters, guilds, friends, even strangers... I've never had any "need" to buy a godly statted item in GW, I seem more than capable with merely excellent weapons, and masses of PVP unlocks of course... To people who think money is the long term goal of GW... I think you're always going to be pushing your luck because there's a massive worthlessness to the economy and it's made to keep an action game fair, not make virtual princes.

In all honesty, I used to come to these forums for the game talk. Now I come for the entertaining mental degradation its members inflict upon themselves.
The game is the same for me as it always was: fun, rewarding, and full of promise of future glories.
This thread just reminds me why I prefer robot henchmen to crackheads.

so... only having an hour or so to play per day and not wanting to waste it buggering around in the middle of 4 bajillion griffons makes you a lazy ass newb?
whilest standing in the middle of said bajillions of griffons can be fun to start i don't see why people who want to enjoy this *no grind* game *have* to do this for hours on end.

This thread has sadly degenerated into a flame war between the "us-es" and the "thems". Take the rest of your insulting comments to PMs please.
